On February 27, 2024, the Council of the European University Association accepted the application for individual full membership to the European University Association (EUA) (https://eua.eu) signed by Rector Prof. Dr. Harun ÇİFTÇİ.
Rector Çiftçi stated that they are proud to be the 40th university from Türkiye to have the right of individual full membership to the association representing more than 800 universities in 49 European countries. With this membership, Çankırı Karatekin University aims to carry out studies such as Research and Development, sustainable development, ethical values, open science and open access with other universities that are members of the union and we are planning to host the rectors of the member universities in our university as soon as possible.
The European University Association (EUA) contributes to the development of universities by developing better cooperation among its members and partnerships with prestigious universities around the world, strengthening the internationalization of member universities, and conducting projects and studies to increase the international visibility of member universities. Rector Çiftçi stated that they expect the membership to the European University Association (EUA) to be actively used in all academic units of ÇAKÜ and to develop joint projects, conferences, and workshops with the member universities of the European University Association.
Rector Çiftçi thanked the Directorate of International Relations Office and its staff for their efforts in the process from the preparation of the membership process to the signature stage and stated that they will continue to work devotedly for the university in the future.
