Çankırı Karatekin University (ÇAKÜ) Resumes Erasmus+ Agreements with Egypt

Çankırı Karatekin University (ÇAKU) Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi came together with the officials of Fayoum University of Egypt within the framework of a series of visits in Cairo, Egypt.

During the meetings, Fayoum University International Relations Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim İbrahim stated that they were very pleased with the visit of Çankırı Karatekin University and that ÇAKU was the first Turkish University to visit as a result of entering a new era in the relations between Türkiye and Egypt. He stated that the Egyptian people and university students have a heartfelt love for Türkiye and that historical, religious and cultural ties should be further strengthened. Rector Çiftçi also stated that Türkiye and Egypt are home to ancient civilizations and that they are ready to take part in all kinds of projects that can develop academically. Nowadays, when our relations are diversified in a different dimension, we will continue our duty as higher education institutions to the end within the framework of the goals set by the country. In this framework, he stated that they are ready for joint conferences, symposiums, Erasmus staff and student exchanges with stakeholder universities with which we cooperate bilaterally through educational diplomacy.

Dr. Ibrahim from Fayoum University stated that he had examined ÇAKU before the visit and that they could create new, different and effective working areas due to many common departments and programs, and that the Erasmus and goodwill protocols to be signed will make a great contribution to the academic staff and students of both institutions. Rector Çiftçi stated that in order to add beauty to the world, especially education and scientific studies create awareness and that they will strive to develop bilateral cooperation with the countries and societies in our heart geography and to achieve efficiency.
