Çankırı Karatekin University continues to strengthen its international collaborations with a visit to Savoy Mont Blanc University in Chambery, France. Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi, accompanied by his delegation, met with university officials to discuss potential areas of cooperation.
Rector Çiftçi emphasized that Çankırı Karatekin University places great importance on partnerships with European Union universities as part of its internationalization strategy. He shared that the university is working to expand Erasmus+ mobility opportunities for both students and staff, as well as to initiate research and development projects in areas where Savoy Mont Blanc University excels. These projects aim to secure European Union grant support.
Highlighting the selectiveness of the European Union in terms of international collaborations, Rector Çiftçi noted that Çankırı Karatekin University prioritizes quality and tangible outcomes in its international initiatives. He expressed confidence that these efforts have already yielded positive results and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continuing to foster agreements that will enhance the quality of education and research. Rector Çiftçi also stressed the importance of further reinforcing ÇAKÜ`s internationalization vision, stating that the university is open to new cooperation opportunities, particularly in the fields of science and social sciences. He reported that preliminary negotiations have been successfully completed for agreements in the agreed departments, with formal contracts set to be signed soon. He expressed hope that these agreements will be fruitful and contribute to the university`s academic representation and international profile, both for incoming and outgoing students.
Philippe Galez, Rector of Savoy Mont Blanc University, expressed his gratitude for the visit and shared his positive impressions of Çankırı Karatekin University. He noted that prior to the visit, he had reviewed the university’s website and found that both institutions share common ground in joint scientific endeavors. He commended Çankırı Karatekin University for its dynamic and vibrant academic environment, despite its relatively recent establishment. Rector Galez emphasized that, when signing Erasmus+ and other bilateral cooperation agreements, Savoy Mont Blanc University prioritizes partners who are committed to active engagement and the generation of concrete results. He expressed confidence that Çankırı Karatekin University will significantly contribute to collaborative efforts between France and Türkiye. He also highlighted Savoy Mont Blanc University`s established international partnerships in the field of scientific development and its membership in various global academic associations, stressing their goal of remaining at the forefront of scientific innovation.
